Intermediate Elementary Lesson: Birds

In the lesson about birds, students will:

• Watch the short video (below) about birds that is brought to you by Three Rivers Park District. This video introduces students to red-tailed hawk. The video highlights the parts of a bird, bird songs, and challenges students to find birds in their own neighborhood and yard.   
• Use the Bird Activity (below) to find evidence of birds in their neighborhood, as well as labeling their own picture of a bird.

Use the Bird Activity to identify the parts of a bird while on a bird scavenger hunt throughout your neighborhood or yard.
