SMART Kapp Updates

SMART kapp app 2.3 and kapp 1.8 Firmware now available (8/22/16)

To improve performance of SMART kapp and to offer the ability to perform automatic software updates, firmware and kapp app updates are now available. SMART suggests updating to the latest release of the kapp app and the newest firmware for SMART kapp.

Firmware version 1.8 for kapp 42 and kapp 84 digital capture boards

• Reduces touch system contact detect height by 35%, significantly improving the ink capture and overall writing performance. Users will now be more accurately detected as drawing ink when they are much closer to the board’s surface.
• Adds support for future firmware updates to be pushed to the kapp board from the kapp app “over-the-air” (OTA), in addition to the current USB update method
• Firmware is now available on thekapp 42 and kapp 84 firmware downloads web page.

SMART kapp app version 2.3

• Adds ability for the app to support over-the-air (OTA) firmware updates for any kapp 42 or 84 board if they have already been updated to firmware version 1.8 or above (see above)
• Improves the way snapshots are saved to Evernote when Evernote integration is enabled by the user. All session snapshots are now saved to a single PDF file and then transferred to the user's Evernote account.
• Various bug fixes
• Now available from the Apple app store and Google Play
