SMART Board 800 Series, CAT5-XT Installation

800 Series CAT5-XT Installation:

1) Disconnect the power cable from the wall outlet and disconnect the USB cable from the computer.
2) Locate the two screws on the bottom of the pen tray, on the right side at the end. They are marked by arrows. Remove these screws.
3) Slide the existing module or blank cover off of the right end of the pen tray. If you are replacing an existing CAT5-XT module, disconnect the CAT5 cable.
4) Connect the CAT5 cable to the CAT5-XT module you are installing.
5) Slide the module onto the pen tray. Use care to avoid damaging the connector when seating the module against the tray.
6) Reinstall the two screws on the bottom of the pen tray.
7) Connect the transmitter, included, to an open USB port on your computer.
8) Connect the other end of the CAT5 cable to the transmitter.
9) Plug the power cable into the wall outlet.
10) Power on the projector and computer. Test.
