SMART Board 800 Series, CAT5-XT1100 Installation

800 Series CAT5-XT-1100 Installation:

Note: If your SMART Board has an Extended Control Panel (ECP) you may require a USB B to USB Mini adapter to use this extender. Check your board's shipping box for this adapter if you use an ECP.

1) Disconnect the existing USB cable from the computer.
2) Connect the transmitter to the computer. It will have a USB A connector.
3) Connect the receiver to the bottom of the pen tray or the above mentioned adapter if you have an ECP.
4) Connect the CAT5 cable between the transmitter and receiver. The maximum length of the CAT5 cable is 131 feet or 40 meters.
