SMART Board SB600 Series, Cursor stuck in one place when connected to computer
This is called Constant Contact - if your cursor is stuck in the same place only when the board is connected to the computer this is likely the cause.
1. Hit the "?" button on pen tray
2. Click on Technical Support
3. Tools
4. Diagnostics
5. Scroll to the bottom of the diagnostics page and looks for the works "Constant Contact"
If you see this, the 2 membranes of the Smart Board are surface are stuck together. Look for a small divot or dent in the surface and gently apply masking or painters tape to the area and peel off gently to try and "unstick" the membranes.
If there is a tear in the material sometimes you can use the tape to separate the top surface from the back, put paper on the tape in the area of it that covers the tear and leave the tape on the board. Sometimes that prevents the surfaces from touching.
