SMART Board 800 series, Extended Control Panl (ECP) - Power button not responding

800 Series ECP - Power button light not responding

If the ECP power button is not lit:
1) Verify that the power indicator on the projector is steady amber or steady green.
2) Check the DC 5V and ECP cables to ensure they are connected to the projector. Disconnect and reconnect the cables to reseat them.
3) Check the wiring harness connector on the back of the ECP for broken wires.

If the ECP power button light is flashing both green and amber:
1) Check the DC 5V and ECP cables to ensure they are connected to the projector. Disconnect and reconnect the cables to reseat them.
2) Check the wiring harness connector on the back of the ECP for broken wires.

If the ECP power button light is red, flashing green, steady green, flashing amber or steady amber:
1)Locate the reset button on the bottom of the ECP. It is in a square hole marked by a U-shaped arrow. You will need a pointed tool such as a pen or straightened paper clip to press it.
2) Press the button once and release. You do not need to hold the button down.
3) The ECP power button will turn red. After about ten seconds, it will turn amber or green.
4) Press the power button on the ECP for one second to verify that the projector will turn on. If the projector is already turned on, it should display an on-screen message instructing you to press the power button again to turn the projector off.
