Power Cycling AV Hardware

Power cycling your AV hardware can often be the first and last step in getting your system back up and running.  But depending on the user’s skill level and the complexity of the system, this task can be rather daunting.  Of course if you have any questions or concerns please contact Tierney Support for help. 

Most if not all hardware is designed to handle power outages to some degree, though frequent power cycling can have adverse effects.  And some more complex systems require their individual components to be powered on in a specific order.   In most cases, these issues should not be a concern as you will typically be power cycling an individual piece of hardware, or a power supply that is sourcing power to multiple devices.  If you can isolate the issues down to one piece of hardware, it is best just to power cycle that piece of hardware.  And if this does not resolve your issues, please contact Tierney Support for help.

Modern Professional Grade AV equipment will often not have a power button so you will be required find the power cord sourcing the hardware and pull that from the outlet or from the gear itself.  These ports are typically labeled appropriately and are found on the rear of the equipment towards the corners.
