KWL Chart – Bluum

Teacher Notes:

- Use the KWL chart to model reading comprehension strategies
with your students, especially with nonfiction reading or videos
- You could use this graphic organizer before and after a lesson to
assess prior knowledge and reflect on learning
- After students learn how to use this graphic organizer, you could ask
them to take notes on their own/in pairs first, and then come up to
the board to add notes
- This would be a great station activity! Students can read a selection
together, and then fill out notes on the board
