On March 15, 2017, it was announced by Google that they will be opening Google Classroom to personal Google Accounts. This allows for many fantastic opportunities to engage community members, collaborate easily with nearby (or far away) schools, and the option to include parents in the current classes, or build a separate class specifically for the parents of your students.
There are a few settings in the Admin Console that will need to be adjusted to support this new opportunity. These settings are found at https://admin.google.com > Apps > Google Workspace > Classroom > Class Settings.
