Cannot click a link in Chrome or Firefox web browser using a SMART Board

Why this happens: Some websites treat interactive whiteboards and interactive flat panels as a tablet and disable mouse clicks.

The solution is to change the settings in your Internet browser.

To change settings in Mozilla Firefox

  1. Enter about:config in the address bar.
  2. Browse to dom.w3c_touch_events.enabled and right-click the preference name.
  3. Select Modify.
    Enter interger value window appears.
  4. Enter 0.
  5. Click OK.
  6. Close Firefox and then open it again.

To change settings in Google Chrome

  1. Enter chrome://flags in the address bar.
  2. Browse to Enable touch events.
  3. Select Disabled from the drop-down menu.
  4. Close Chrome and then open it again.
