Diversiboard Cleaning
Complete cleaning of the Diversiboard surface is best using ONLY a microfiber cloth and fingernail polish remover. If, by chance, fingernail polish remover does not work, as they are at times not created equal, ACETONE will definitely work. Use either SPARINGLY a dab at a time on your microfiber cloth. Once it is clean, the following guidelines should be followed:
- ALWAYS use a microfiber cloth for erasing. The best microfiber is one that contains two materials, polyester and polyamide, printed on the package and/or the cloth label. The use of cotton or a paper towel will make matters worse.
- The name, “dry erase”, make sure the dry erase ink is completely dry before erasing like you normally would. It makes erase ability easier from the outset.
- Markers – in our testing we’ve discovered that not all dry erase markers are created equal! We’ve also experienced that even with the best brand named markers, there may be other issues such as increased humidity which will have an adverse affect. We would recommend sticking with primary colors, red, green, blue, black and avoid pastels.
- Cleaners – An alcohol-based cleaner is best such as the blue Expo cleaner #81803 or Quartet #550.
